Dear Woodbridge Music Club Members:
Our August 20 Board Meeting was very productive and we have set the course for the upcoming year. Our biggest challenge this year is increasing membership. We all need to talk up the club to our fellow musicians and music lovers.
I have attached the minutes from the Board Meeting, along with the projected Calendar of Events for this year so you can mark your calendars. This will also be on the WMC Webpage. Yearbooks will be published the week of September 18th and mailed out to all members. Please note three things in particular coming up on our calendar:
September 20: New Member Orientation. This is designed to talk about the Woodbridge Music Club, our activities, and our association with the National Federation of Music Clubs and Virginia Federation of Music Clubs. This is intended for new and old members, if you want to know a little more about our club. Its also for anyone who has not yet joined, but would like to! Please invite them, and come along yourself.
October 20: Founders Day House Concert and Welcome Party. The House Concert is open for anyone who would like to perform for other members, but this is also intended to be a social event for the club. Please plan to come, and bring a friend who may be thinking about joining!
November 3: Guest Artist. Marianna Prievalskaya, Pianist. She will present a lecture recital concerning the Debussy Preludes.
